You may remember that all FESD students receive free lunch thanks to the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision)! This amazing program allows all of our kids to eat a healthy hot lunch at school, complete with as many visits to the salad bar as they like! Grapes, strawberries, and cantaloupe are HUGE hits with the kids!
We still need families to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application; however, as some of our state funding is based on this. Reading Interventions for all students, full-day kindergarten (did you know that the state only funds 1/2 day kindergarten? Schools pick up the tab for the other half day), Instructional Assistants, some before and after school programming, and more- all of this is based on Title I funds, which is calculated based on this application. It just takes a few minutes- please be sure to fill it out today! (If you filled it out for Western Valley Middle, we need your response for our school, too!) If you filled it out for another WVE student, you don’t have to complete it twice, but if you are not sure, please complete it, and we can filter out duplicates!
