A Message from Our Principal

Hello Western Valley Elementary School families!

My name is Jennifer Quirk, and I am your new school principal. I look forward to meeting all of you, and joining the WVES community. This is a unique start to the school year, very different from any school year we have seen before. But with a community of teachers, staff, students, and families like we have, we can do anything!

This is my 17th year in education, and third year in the Fowler School District. I have been a teacher, an instructional coach, and been a school administrator for four years. I earned my bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Arizona State University, my master of education degree in secondary education from Northern Arizona University, and my doctor of education in educational administration and supervision degree from Arizona State University. I am originally from New Jersey, but have lived in Arizona since 1999. I have a beautiful (and large) family, with five children and three dogs.

Here at Western Valley Elementary, our school community values a high-quality education, collaboration to help us continue to improve our teaching, connecting with families, and ensuring our students are prepared for college and careers of their choice. Problem solving, critical thinking, and learning and growing together are skills that will help our students succeed throughout their lives, and they will practice these skills at Western Valley Elementary School.

Positive relationships with caring adults are critical to helping students grow into kind and compassionate adults, so here at Western Valley Elementary, we believe in the principles of Kids at Hope, that all children are capable of success, no exceptions!
